Research interest | Seismic and volcanic activity in the subduction zone is thought to be related to fluid activity. Fluid activity in the subduction zone is caused by fluids brought in by oceanic plates, and has been thought to occur on regional scale (>1km). To understand the actual conditions of fluid activity, I have been analyzing metamorphic rocks that record the environment of subduction zones. I am particularly interested in understanding the spatial and temporal evolution of fluid activity, and am using a data-driven approach. |
