In the ocean, there are boundaries where properties such as water temperature and salinity change, and its position changes seasonally and interannually, affecting the surrounding biomass and so on. Therefore, it is important to know the position and nature of the boundary, but the method of detecting the boundary has not changed since 40 years ago. Now that the number of data and climatic conditions has changed drastically from 40 years ago, I think that we should update the method to detect the boundary position, and I’m studying to detect that with a new method using machine learning.
